The educational seminar «Restoring and hardening of casting equipment, forge-and-press tools and dies»

deals with processes of restoration and

hardening in casting and stamping.

       The next educational seminar will take place within the framework of 14th International research and practice conference «Hardening, coating and repair technologies: theory and practice» 17^th – 20^th of April 2012 in St. Petersburg.

        The main purpose of the seminar is to familiarise the audience with modern methods of designing, choosing materials, operating surface requirements as well as with techniques of manufacturing, repair, restoration and hardening of casting and press forge equipment.

         During the seminar casting and press forge components will be hardened using final plasma hardening, ion-plasma spraying, spark alloying, laser and plasma hardening and other techniques.

        Specialists from the chief metallurgist and metal production departments are invited to participate in the educational seminar.

        Techniques and equipment for increasing the durability of casting and press forge equipment manifold by the application of wear-resistant coatings, as well as techniques of restoration of worn-out production tools will be demonstrated during the seminar. You will have an opportunity to evaluate the economic expediency of using these techniques in your production.
